The best time to start the planning process is the moment you decide to move. There are lots of factors that need to be taken into consideration, and the planning process could easily take months. If renting a home, timing will likely depend on when you sign your lease. The timing has to be just right – which isn’t always an easy task!

Book the moving company as soon as you have made your decision, so you can get the move date that you want without any scheduling conflicts. With all of your boxes and supplies ready to go, you can start by packing a little bit each day, room by room. A good rule of thumb is to start with those rooms in your house that you do not use every day, saving the kitchen and bedrooms for last.
